Gerry Maurer began his business career with American Airlines in New York City. After his Navy service, he settled in Seattle, owning and operating several private businesses prior to joining Northwestern Mutual Financial Network in 1985.
Gerry Maurer's practice is focused on estate preservation and transfer, as well as business succession solutions and executive benefits. In estate analysis, Gerry's primary focus is on helping clients articulate their goals and objectives, visualizing the legacy they want to create for their family and community. He also assists his clients in realizing their philanthropic goals as part of their overall estate.
He works with privately held companies to understand their goals for business growth, succession and transition. This often includes assisting with solutions for the exit strategies for the owner(s).
Gerry received his Bachelor’s in Economics from Stanford University and Master’s of Business Administration from Columbia University in New York. He has also earned the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU®) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC®) designations from The American College and the AEP designation from the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils.
